The Vacancy:



Are you a strategic and hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence?

Martec an Amphenol company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead, manage, and optimise all operational activities across our manufacturing site, driving performance, developing talent and ensuring we meet and exceed our business objectives.

About the Role

As the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of all operational KPIs across multiple disciplines. You'll be responsible for translating our company vision and mission into actionable strategic goals. Ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality remain at the core of everything we do.



You will:



Lead and motivate the manufacturing and operations teams to achieve SQDCP targets (OTIF, PPM, etc.). Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource management to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full. Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process optimisation across all operational areas. Lead recruitment, performance management, and succession planning to build a high-performing team. Manage site budgets, manufacturing variances, and capital expenditure requests. Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance across all operations. Develop and maintain robust SOPs and ensure adherence to quality systems and company policies.

What You'll Bring



Education & Experience:



HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong knowledge of production planning, MRP systems, and manufacturing processes. Track record of achieving cost savings, productivity improvements, and process excellence. Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical & Personal Skills:



Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation. Highly analytical with strong PC literacy (Excel, databases, and presentations). Ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on leadership style with a proactive, "can-do" attitude. Commitment to safety, quality, and employee engagement.
