Unite Students is looking for an Operations Planning and Change Lead to join our thriving Operations team to lead planning, governance and stakeholder engagement for ops business as usual, ops change and maintenance of the operations cycle. This role focuses on incremental improvements and operational updates outside major programmes, which are managed by the Project Management Office (PMO) and senior change leadership.
You`ll ensure central processes, tools and communication mechanisms enable smooth delivery of the operations cycle and continuous improvement. All work must align with the Ways of Operations Strategy, overall business strategy, Operations KPIs and resident feedback.

ll Be Doing
Own the Operations Calendar and Planner as the single source of truth for operational activities and the business cycle
Ensure planning resources are accurate, accessible and referenced across teams
Develop timelines, toolkits and procedural guides in partnership with support functions
Ensure all operational changes are centrally approved and supported before release?
Work with the PMO to transition high-impact projects into BAU operations
Develop and maintain content on ops SharePoint sites (the Hub), Teams Channels and platforms which support our operation
Partner with the Central Operations Coordinator on scheduling and prioritisation for Operations Forum and Operations Front Door
Track actions and decisions from forums, ensuring progress and readiness for delivery
Brief stakeholders on forum requirements and support impactful presentations
Identify improvement opportunities from inbound channels (Ops Focus, forums, inbox queries and feedback)
Contribute to reporting and updates on plans, timelines and progress
Maintain feedback loops to ensure changes land well and drive iterative improvements
Support implementation and review of policies, processes and tools to enhance efficiency
Ensure all guidance and materials are current, fit for purpose and linked to the operations cycle and oversee operational communications, ensuring alignment with standards and strategic goals
Manage key channels (Team Talk, Hub) and scheduling of content, supported by the coordinator

Clear and concise communicator with excellent documentation skills
Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across functions
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Operational experience in a customer-facing environment with a focus on continuous improvement
Strategic awareness; ability to align work with KPIs, resident feedback and the Ways of Operations Strategy
Note; this role does not require formal change management certification; it`s about practical delivery rather than specialist methodologies
