About the Company
We are a global player in the cement industry with investments in Turkey, the UK, USA, Belgium, Italy and beyond with an aspiration to increase our global footprint. Several of these investments are cement import terminals where we import, store and distribute cement. We want a team member who will help us run a more efficient and effective operation.
The Role
Help run day-to-day order flow and uphold terminal standards across our UK & European import terminals. You'll blend customer/order management, standard operating procedure (SOP) deployment, training and SAP-based reporting while acting as the bridge between terminals and central functions.
What You'll Do
Operational standards
Implement and audit SOPs for vehicle acceptance, queuing/parking, pre?load checks, delivery notes/invoices and POD handling.
Maintain a professional driver/customer experience that earns repeat business.
Training & scale
Deliver hands-on training to new terminal teams for rapid competence.
Run checklist-based site visits to keep standards high and close gaps.
SAP & reporting
Coordinate site inputs for the agreed reporting set (delays, lane/driver productivity, service levels).
Maintain a weekly dashboard, flag exceptions and run short performance huddles.
Risk & controls
Reduce start-up risk with proven checklists, dual controls and clear escalation paths.
Translate issues clearly and work with central IT to unblock SAP/flow bottlenecks fast.
What You Bring to the Team
5-10 years in dispatch, logistics planning or customer operations -- ideally in bulk/building materials
Working proficiency with SAP
Practical knowledge of transport regulations and weighbridge processes
A builder mindset: you standardise, teach and scale good practice across multiple sites
Willing to travel across the UK & Europe
Valid driver's licence
Flexibility to pitch in across tasks and adjust to operational needs
