We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Supervisor to oversee our daily operational activities.
We work for a variety of public and private clients in the social care sector plus many commercial and domestic customers, providing a wide range of environmental and property based services.
Reporting to our Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our cleaning, waste, pest and maintenance teams, operating in a varied and fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills to contribute to the continuous improvement and operational excellence of our business.
We anticipate that this role will involve around 25% of your time spent on office based tasks, with the balance being in the field with "hands on" project management.
Duties
Assist with work flow, logistics and project planning.
Support team members, providing methodology and process clarity to optimise productivity.
Visit projects to monitor progress and efficiency.
Liaise with customers and clients.
Ensure legal and process compliance by maintaining necessary documentation.
Act as the first contact for daily queries, issues and incidents that affect the projects, eg access problems, vehicle breakdowns, unexpected absence, materials, PPE and equipment control, etc.
Monitor stock and supplies, managing purchasing and usage.
Help the management team by completing reports and inputting data to company systems.
Provide toolbox talks and facilitate training.
Hands on/physical assistance where necessary to ensure projects are completed on time in full and to cover absence as required.
Experience
Proven experience in providing good customer service.
Strong practical knowledge and awareness of HS&E processes.
Ability to follow and implement processes, compliance requirements and procedures.
Competence with IT to use various work based software platforms (with training)
Experience with managing teams and encouraging performance.
Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives within a service environment.
Understanding of the social care sector and/or environmental services would be beneficial.
Capability to carry out physical tasks as required.
A company vehicle will be provided and a full UK driving licence is required. You will be required to drive Light Goods Vehicles up to 3.5T.
A DBS check will be carried out as you will regularly be working in private homes and/or with vulnerable adults and families.

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
