Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Operations team based at Holt Depot, covering a mixture of evening shifts (12:00 to 20:00) and weekend shifts (05:30-17:00). As part of the Operations Team you will be responsible for ensuring our local bus network and coaching operation runs smoothly, safely and efficiently - managing our driving teams to deliver a reliable network to the highest of standards. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to plan ahead, solve problems and work well on their own as well as part of a wider team.

Desired skills and experience

Logistical/planning experience. Transport background preferred, passenger or haulage. PCV licence and CPC desirable, but not essential. Proficient in computer use.

Roles and responsibilities

Conduct depot runouts on any day of the week. Cover Operations phones and manage our network efficiently. Record and communicate network incidents, such as accidents, delays and emergency roadworks. Basic Operations tasks such as covering duties and checking cashing in. Ensuring a reliable service with clean, well-presented vehicles. Manage staffing costs. Manage staffing costs.

You will need to be prepared to

Work any days of the week as per the rota or company requirements. Be available with flexibility for morning runouts, weekends, evening on call and late cover.

Rate of pay:

15.50 per hour

Minimum 37hr per week, shifts including 12:00-20:00 and 05:30-17:00

Funded PCV driver medical and period CPC training, if you hold a PCV licence.
