Operations Assistant -

Location: Stirling Head Office

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

WoodWinters is a multi-award-winning independent retailer, wholesaler, and importer of fine wines, renowned for bringing new and exciting wines to the UK market. With our Stirling headquarters and a growing presence in London, we are a key player in the industry, competing with major national companies.

We are looking for a motivated and professionally minded individual who is keen to build a long-term career in the wine and drinks trade. This role offers hands-on experience across key areas of operations, with full training provided and excellent opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for:

Sales Order Processing: Managing and processing customer orders efficiently and accurately. Stock Transfers: Coordinating bonded and duty-paid stock movements between locations. Customer and Sales Support: Handling customer inquiries, requests, and problem-solving, while supporting the Sales team to ensure excellent service. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination: Assisting with the movement of stock, liaising with suppliers and transport providers. Data & Systems Management: Using internal software to maintain stock records, track orders, and generate reports. Administrative Support: Providing general support to the Operations Team, ensuring smooth day-to-day business functions.
Who we are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Confidence in using computer systems and an ability to quickly learn new software. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing personal deadlines and responsibilities. A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
- Prior experience in, sales administration, or logistics would be beneficial but is not essential.

- An interest in wine, with either existing knowledge or a keen desire to learn more about the industry.
