Where will you be working?





We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. This role will be within our Developer services- our developer services team connects water and wastewater services, installs lateral drains, and enables new developments access to vital water and wastewater services.

What will you be doing?





As a General Operative, you'll be working within our Site Delivery Team who are responsible for the construction, testing and commissioning of several large projects.



Due to the nature of this role you'll need to be able to excavate trenches, placing pipe bedding material, laying, and jointing pipes, backfilling and compacting trenches, mix and lay concrete, operate machinery, using equipment such as drills and pumps and move and unload materials and you'll work under the instruction and supervision of Gangers, Foremen and General Foreman.

We'll teach you how to operate various site plant and other construction site vehicles as well as acting as a Banksman all whilst keeping the site tidy and looking after tools and equipment.

You'll also need to;
+ Provide assistance to the site team which may include a number of varied tasks.
+ You'll work in a safe manner with consideration towards fellow workers and members of the public who you may come into contact with during our work
+ Handle any fencing work, earthworks, construction of pipeline chambers and assisting skilled workers, for example joiners or bricklayers.


What you'll bring





+ Proven experience within a civil construction environment ideally with both wastewater and clear water is important.
+ Do you have experience in Roads, Street works and cross-country pipeline construction?
+ Do you hold a valid UK driving license? This is needed for the role.
+ Are you or have you been a NRSWA operative?
