Role:

Operative -Food Industry

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 3:00pm. Overtime if required. You will have a total of 1-hour break; 2 x 30-minute breaks unpaid.

We are a busy fast-growing poultry manufacturing company that requires Production Operatives to join the team. We require someone who is reliable, hardworking, has excellent communications skills, good attention to detail and has a general understanding of Food Safety.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Consists of hands-on operation of handling and processing poultry. Working in a controlled cold temperature environment. (Temperature controlled room: 8c to 12c. Fridges: 0c to 4c. Blast Freezer: -20c to-25c. Holding Freezer: -18c)*
Working with a metal detector and following procedures. Operating machinery and overseeing production to ensure the company meets its targets. Building frozen kebab stacks. Picking and packing products. Checking the quality of the finished product. Packing various chicken products into appropriate packaging. Moving goods to storage area. Maintaining a clean working environment. Product recognition and training will be given. All PPE will be provided. Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products.

Requirements:

Basic food production or working withing Food manufacturing setting experience required. Flexibility if overtime is required.

Essential:

Basic English written & verbal communication skills required. Willingness to adapt to new working practices & processes. Reliable & punctual. Must have good levels of numeracy & literacy. Excellent attention to detail & time management skills. Ability to work under pressure, organise and prioritise responsibilities.
