Job Description

The purpose of the post is to deliver the maintenance of the site's buildings and infrastructure. The estates operatives carry out a wide range of tasks in relation to building and infrastructure maintenance as well as routine operations. Operation and maintenance of the site's non-active drains networks is a routine task, as is delivering a winter gritting service. Support is also given to other estate's sections: joiners, scaffolders, and painters.

Main Responsibilities

Carry out excavation services Undertake road sweeping duties Perform winter snow clearing and road gritting duties Undertake general site repair duties Undertake cleaning and maintenance of site drains and septic tanks Carry out pest control duties Fuel emergency generators Undertake foreshore and fence inspections including outfall sampling Undertake scanning for underground services Undertake site signage surveys and replacement of street furniture/signs Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to the post

Aptitudes and Experience

Basic skills in numeracy and literacy Full UK Drivers Licence, HGV Licence would be an advantage Experience of operating construction plant, 360 excavator licence would be an advantage Construction site experience Willing to participate in seasonal shift working

Terms and Conditions

Basic Annual Income - 25,963 to 35,864 overtime rates apply as standard.



37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Every third Friday being a non-working day.



Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays



12 Month Contract
