Mossburn Distillers Ltd are looking to recruit a full time operator for immediate start at their site at The Reivers Distillery in Tweedbank. This role will start as position to aid our current bottling line team in finalising operations prior to our move to a new site. As a Bottling Operator you will be responsible for operating designated bottling machinery, working together within a team environment to ensure that production targets are met. On site on the job training will be given. Once our move has been completed the role will be more centered around warehousing and a hybrid supporting role across multiple operations on site.

The role pre-move will consist of the following responsibilities:

To efficiently and effectively carry out the day-to-day requirements on the bottling line which include bottle feeding, packing and palletising. Quality control as per the standards set by the company. Ensure that housekeeping and hygiene is kept to a high standard. Undertake line product changeovers. Problem solving to ensure that line stoppages and breakdowns are kept to an acceptable limit. Taking a planning ahead approach to ensure that dry goods are coordinated and replenished each day. Ensure delivery and collection of dry and finished goods is completed in an acceptable time. Follow the instructions and guidance of the team leaders and management. Accurately record data from downtime to bottling output and reworks. Driving performance to ensure both continuous improvement and meeting set KPIs.
The ideal candidate:

Ideally have production operator experience, bottling line experience preferred Must be highly motivated with a can-do attitude Should have an understanding of basic operational procedures and Health and safety requirements ideally in a production setting Can work well in a team Be able to show initiative and forward thinking Be able to handle a fast-paced setting to ensure bottling line efficiency Can carry out manually intensive tasks Have great attention to detail. Must have excellent problem-solving skills. Must have the ability to multitask.
The role will cover a 40 hour 5 day working week Monday-Friday. Flexibility is required.
