Job Description

The Operator Training Administrator plays a central role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth training operations, managing bookings, client queries, certification, and instructor coordination.
This position has a clear element of new business, focused on generating growth from within our existing customer base across the KION brands; identifying opportunities, following up with existing customers, and encouraging them to expand their use of internal forklift training.
We offer:

  • Manage inbound customer enquiries via phone, email, and web form, across the UK
  • Generate and follow up on training quotations, supporting clients to choose the most effective and value-driven training packages
  • Book operator training sessions using the FTT Key system and coordinate scheduling with instructors
  • Prepare and issue accredited training certificates; ensure accurate uploads to the ITSSAR national database
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with internal teams and external customers
  • Assist in business development and project work, including supporting the preparation of tracking spreadsheets and system improvements
  • Maintain all issued equipment to the expected standard and report faults immediately
  • Support continuous improvement and digital transformation by embracing new processes and tools, completing training, and suggesting efficiencies
  • Work to bring onboard existing Customers from the wider organisation to expand their spend to Internal Forklift Training
Tasks and Qualifications:
This role will suit someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in building customer relationships, while supporting the wider training team's expansion and growth.
  • A strong administrative background, ideally in a customer-facing and/or training
  • Confident communicator across phone, email, and digital platforms
  • Experience with booking systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • High attention to detail in certification and data entry
  • Proactive, adaptable, and keen to suggest better ways of working
  • Ideally, knowledge of ITSSAR standards
  • Commitment to Health & Safety, PPE usage, and data compliance
  • Comfortable with an element of new business activity, including identifying and following up opportunities with existing customers
