Due to a retirement we have a vacancy for an Optical Advisor to join our team.

Working as an Optical Advisor is a multifaceted role. Our Advisors are our first contact with the patient and will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills. They will need to be comfortable using computer software to carry out admin tasks. They will be asked to supervise patients as they complete clinical tests. They will need to have an interest in design and fashion to advise our patients on the best eyewear for them. They will also need to carry out spectacle repairs and fittings.

Being an Optical Advisor can be a challenging and rewarding occupation.

No qualifications are required but some customer-facing experience would be beneficial.

Training will be provided.

This position has a minimum of 22.25 hours a week spread over 3 days including alternate Saturdays. Additional hours available to cover staff holidays throughout the year.
