We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Optical Store Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of our optical store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximising sales opportunities. This position requires the ability to work independently on non-testing days, as well as efficiently handle a busy clinic schedule when required.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the optical store, including sales, inventory management, and customer service. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase profitability. Provide expert guidance to customers in selecting eyewear products that meet their vision needs and style preferences. Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of frames, lenses, and other optical products. Maintain a clean and organised store environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining patient records. Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to ensure seamless coordination of clinic and retail operations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in optical sales or retail management is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and team members. Proficiency in computerised optical sales systems and basic office software. Knowledge of eyewear products, lens options, and vision insurance plans. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
