Your purpose
To be proactive in giving our customers a friendly welcome and an exceptional customer experience, sharing a passion for the Specsavers brand, our products, services and offers. You will receive thorough and continued training and development to enhance your understanding of optical products, so previous Optical experience is not always necessary, but a passion for fantastic customer service is a must!
Your role
Greet all customers and persons present warmly upon arrival.
Personalise conversations with customers to meet individual needs and preferences.
Share your knowledge and make recommendations on our products (especially for single vision and contact lenses); give expert advice to guide customers in finding the best products for them and their needs.
Confidently talk to customers about the customer journey for Optics, Audiology and Domiciliary and able to refer customers to the best service for their needs.
Provide essential information about Audiology to customers.
Able to understand and speak to customers about visual perception and basic visual defects.
Ensure collections are conducted in a personalised and professional manner ensuring fit, comfort and visual acuities are checked accurately making any adjustments as necessary.
Able to book and change customer appointments on the in-store computer system and operate the till effectively and accurately,
Be confident in assisting customers in selecting appropriate frames and lenses and offering product information explaining costs and offers to customers honestly.
Performing measurements using the VDT.
Be proactive in making sure the store is always looking its best and is presented to the highest standards. Have an eye for detail and put anything right that you come across that is not quite perfect.
Undertake any ad hoc duties as directed by the Directors or Management Team
Ensure any reporting and administration you are tasked with is completed accurately and on time.
Using a caring and knowledgeable approach, build relationships with customers so they feel comfortable and want to come back time and again.
Take an active approach to developing your optical and Audiology product and services knowledge through attending company training and personal development to become an expert in these areas.
Understand and apply NHS practices and procedures.
Act as an ambassador for Specsavers at all times.

Desirable Skills
Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
Previous experience in optics or Audiology businesses.
Basic knowledge/ experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.
