Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join our professional team. The successful candidate will support optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. A strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills will be a desirable attribute.

Responsibilities

Listening to patients, and giving good clear advice, explaining suitable products and offers, whilst understanding NHS guidelines and applying our own high standards. Support the selection of spectacles and contact lenses, providing advice on styles and lens options Carrying out pre-screening examinations and working alongside the greater team in day to day running of the clinics. Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records efficiently Provide excellent customer service by answering queries and guiding patients through their options. Maintain delivery of excellent customer service at all times, playing a valuable part of a customer journey and a successful team. Ensure the optical area remains organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards.
