About the Role

As an Optical Assistant, you'll be supporting patients and optometrists alike, providing excellent service while learning and developing within the field. This is a rewarding position that offers a supportive environment and great potential for career advancement.

Assist with pre-test procedures and work closely with the optometrist in the clinic.

Provide a high standard of dispensing glasses, ensuring accuracy and care.

Fit glasses to patients with precision and attention to detail, enhancing their everyday life.

Maintain and update patient records to ensure the best care and continuity.

Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring every patient leaves satisfied.

Repair glasses with the necessary skills to maintain their quality and usability.

What We're Looking For



At least 1 year of optical experience (essential).

GCSEs in Math and English, or equivalent.

A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for eye care.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your time efficiently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people from all walks of life.

Previous experience working in a care setting is a plus, but not essential.

Additional Information



Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (flexibility for travel required).

No weekend or evening shifts.
