We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our weekend team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our optical practice, ensuring that patients receive exceptional service and care. This position requires a blend of technical skills and customer service abilities, making it ideal for individuals with a keen interest in the optical field.
Responsibilities
Assist optometrists and opticians in providing high-quality patient care
Conduct preliminary tests and measurements to support eye examinations
Prepare and dispense eyewear, including lenses and frames, according to prescriptions
Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
Manage patient records accurately and confidentially
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the optical practice environment
Collaborate with team members to enhance overall patient experience
Requirements
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving and patient care
Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided
Weekend working is required
