Job Overview


We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Optical Assistant to join our professional team. This role involves supporting optometrists in delivering exceptional eye care services and ensuring a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in optics and healthcare, with a focus on accuracy and customer service. Previous optical experience and knowledge are advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the optical industry.

Duties



Assisting the patients in choosing frames Learning all levels of dispensing spectacles Managing patient records accurately and efficiently Assisting with the fitting of spectacles and learning adjustments Providing excellent customer service by explaining product options and answering patient queries Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment

Experience



Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
This role offers valuable experience within the optical sector, with the option for further education in dispensing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 19,500.00 per year
