Imperium Commodity Search continue to work exclusively with a rapidly growing options brokerage in London as they continue to grow across a number of disciplines. After succesfully launching an Energy desk in 2020, the company is looking to grow this further through the addition of an experienced options broker covering gas, EUA, oil or LNG products.
Our client is backed by one of the global leaders in financial and commodity brokerage with substantial technology access for a firm of their size. 2 Experienced energy brokers currently manage the growing energy options book for the business and look forward to growing the team further through this addition.
Our client is also interested in speaking to Oil Options brokers looking to transition into the gas/power/emissions space.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the energy desk in expanding a gas brokerage desk, particularly covering the TTF/European gas markets
• Execute trades in a timely manner on behalf of international energy client base
• Work with the wider energy team on offering liquidity across oil, power, gas, coal, environmentals, carbon, lng etc. options
• Actively grow the energy client coverage utilising the clients unique options service offering
• Generate new relationships and maintain existing relationships for energy options brokerage, particularly TTF/Gas
• Develop and transfer relationships held in energy options from prior market exposure

Requirements:

• Proven background and client exposure in the European Gas, Power, LNG or Oil space
• 3+ years experience in energy brokerage/corporate sales in derivatives
• Excellent understanding of derivatives brokerage across options (or futures)
• Desire to work in a fast growing business with a burgeoning energy options offering
• Committed and efficient with a demonstrable ability to handle work independently and support a wider desk where required
• Excellent sales and analysis skills
• Good knowledge of your specific energy market (gas, power, LNG, oil, carbon etc.)
• Located in London or able to relocate (self funded)
