Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
Oracle POS/Xstore Process Solution Architect
to lead the design and implementation of Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service (POS) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of retail store operations, Oracle Retail suite (especially Xstore), and end-to-end POS system integration. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to define, architect, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance POS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the
design, architecture, and implementation
of Oracle Xstore POS solutions.
Act as the
process owner and subject matter expert (SME)
for POS/Xstore across multiple regions and business units.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into
functional and technical designs
.
Define
end-to-end POS processes
covering in-store operations (sales, returns, promotions, tenders, loyalty, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Store Operations, IT, Payments, Inventory, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Provide leadership during
solution definition, prototyping, testing, and deployment
.
Support project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
Ensure compliance with security standards, privacy policies, and data governance.
Mentor junior team members and lead architecture/design reviews.
Stay up to date with Oracle Xstore enhancements and retail technology trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of experience in Retail IT, with at least 3-5 years in Oracle Retail Xstore or POS solutions.
Strong knowledge of
Oracle Xstore architecture
, modules, configuration, and customization.
Experience in
end-to-end POS implementations
, including integrations with ERP, CRM, payments, eCommerce, and loyalty systems.
Deep understanding of
store processes
such as sales, returns, discounts, employee management, hardware integration (printers, scanners, pin pads), etc.
Hands-on experience with
Java, Oracle DB, and Web Services
.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a global environment with distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Oracle Retail modules like
ORPOS, ORBO, ORCE, EFTLink, etc.
Familiarity with
cloud migration
and retail digital transformation initiatives.
Experience with Agile or DevOps environments.
Oracle Xstore certifications (if available).
