Become a member of our team as an order packing assistant for our online farm shop for 2 mornings per week.

THE ROLE

Pheasants Hill Farm Ltd is an online seller of free-range meat products in the UK and Ireland market. We are seeking to recruit an Online Retail Assistant / Order picker to join our skilled team responsible for picking and packing online orders at our farm in Killyleagh, County Down.

JOB TYPE

Part time Fixed term 6 month contract The post may become permanent in the future.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

2 mornings per week Working Monday and Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 9am to 12pm. Total hours 6 - 8 hours per week. Additional shifts are available during busy periods and Christmas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembling orders accurately from a picking note Packing online orders in a secure manner for courier shipping Picking orders from frozen storage Replenishing stock and putting away into frozen and refrigerated storage Organising and moving stock in frozen storage for consolidation and space creation Packing and labelling products using a vacuum packer and a labelling machine The role is physically active and requires lifting customer parcel shipping boxes The role will include lifting boxes of stock (up to 15kg)

THE CANDIDATE

Will have a level of fitness capability for the regular lifting of 15kg boxes on and off shelving Will be friendly, polite, approachable and enjoy working as part of a team Will be computer literate, efficient and accurate with data entry Will be capable of working individually, unsupervised whilst maintaining work rate Will be reliable, self-motivated and punctual Will manage their time well and be able to work efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy Should be open to working on a multitude of despatch tasks whilst maintaining accuracy Should be comfortable handling our meat products. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant

EXPERIENCE

Food handling experience is an advantage, but not necessary as full training will be given. A safe food handling certificate would be an advantage, but full food handling training will be given

Our farm is based 2 miles from Killyleagh, 2 miles from Downpatrick, in the countryside and some form of transport is needed to commute to our location.
