About the role


------------------


Do you have excellent administrative insight with lab manager experience and wish to work at a cutting-edge facility? We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Coordinator to support the management of the Imperial BRC Organoid Facility and assist the Facility Manager in delivering high-quality operations. You should have an MSc degree in cell biology (or related fields) and working experience with higher education systems, processes and procedures, especially in financial monitoring and planning of research projects or grant programmes. Also, it is essential that you have some experience in lab management.



The Imperial Organoid Facility is an exciting recently established unit that aims to facilitate new disease models using patient samples and state-of-the-art technologies with the ultimate aims to decrease or fully replace the need for animal experiments and to improve clinical procedures.


What you would be doing


---------------------------


Oversee ordering processes, project management, and budget monitoring. Contribute to grant writing and liaising with internal contract and finance teams. Create clear and engaging documents, presentations, and reports. Respond to a range of customer and collaborator enquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Monitor laboratory stocks and ensure their order when needed. Perform basic data analysis of orders and stock. Ensure that the Organoid Facility's labs comply with Imperial Health and Safety regulations. Oversee the equipment park of the Facility and arrange their regular service and repair when needed. Communicate effectively with staff members, users and suppliers of the Organoid Facility.

What we are looking for

Excellent skills in prioritising tasks, maintaining high standards, and providing reliable administrative support to ensure the Facility runs efficiently. Proactive and effective communication skills to ensure the implementation of Imperial College London and Organoid Facility policies. Excellent writing skills to create reports and contribute to grant proposal. Strong record keeping skills to monitor consumable stocks and the Organoid Facility's equipment park and ensure their order and service when needed. The ability to work on several projects at the same time, while delivering tasks to deadlines. A collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with Imperial contract and finance team, academic, clinical and industrial partners across the Imperial Organoid Facility.
