We are a well-established International orthodontic practice in Chelsea, specialising in treating children and teenagers. We are looking for a friendly Orthodontic Nurse to join our vibrant team and help us deliver high-quality care in a welcoming environment.
Scheduled working hours:
18 hours per week, to be completed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Orthodontic Knowledge: A solid understanding of orthodontics and experience assisting with various orthodontic procedures is essential.
Working with Children: As a children-focused clinic, we need someone who is patient, kind, and enjoys working with young patients. You must be comfortable and confident in reassuring children and teenagers during their treatments.
Team Player: We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment. You will be working closely with our orthodontists and other dental professionals, so a team-oriented attitude is a must.
Excellent Communication and attitude: You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with both patients and colleagues.
Knowledge of CQC Protocols: A strong understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and health and safety regulations is important to ensure we maintain our high standards of patient care.
Location: Must be able to work in the Chelsea area and be willing to commute to our practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the orthodontist during all clinical procedures, including fitting of braces, adjustments, and removals
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment
Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Provide oral hygiene instructions and aftercare advice
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory between patients
Monitor inventory and order clinical supplies if needed
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and infection control protocols
Take full records of our patients (Photos, iTero scan, Xrays)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
GDC-registered dental nurse (essential)
Valid Dental Radiography certification
Previous experience in orthodontics (highly desirable)
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
Valid DBS certificate and up-to-date immunisations
Strong understanding of cross-infection control and decontamination protocols
Confident in supporting chair-side during complex orthodontic treatments
Patience, empathy, and the ability to reassure anxious young patients
Strong communication skills to explain procedures in child-friendly language
