Role Purpose

You will work as part of our orthodontic team, assisting in clinical treatment, taking orthodontic records, coordinating patient care, and ensuring excellent patient experience. The role is dual: combining clinical therapy duties and treatment coordination/consultation duties.

Key Responsibilities

Orthodontic Therapist Component:

Taking orthodontic records: intra-oral scans, before & after photographs (for clinical records and marketing)

Fixed appliance work: bonding (bond-ups), wire changes, debonding

Removable appliances: fitting, repairing, manufacturing Essix retainers, adjusting retainers

Patient education: fixed braces, aligners, retainers -- proper hygiene, wear, maintenance

Treatment Coordinator (Ortho TCO) Component:

Hosting complimentary consultations with prospective patients: welcoming, answering questions, establishing rapport

Taking full orthodontic records during initial assessments: scans, photos, x-rays

Briefing the orthodontist on upcoming cases (clinical input and logistical details)

Discussing payment options with patients: setting up payment plans, using finance providers (e.g. Tabeo)

Uploading cases and liaising with finance / administrative teamsUploading cases and administering workflows on the Invisalign platform

Monitoring monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with management to ensure targets and clinic flow are met

Working Pattern

Clinic sessions: Wednesdays (afternoon & evening), Thursdays, and alternate Saturdays

You may be required to cover one or more of these sessions alongside Dr Monika Cedro and Dr Murray Pratt

Some flexibility in hours/days will be negotiable depending on candidate availability

Person Specification

Essential

:

Qualification as an Orthodontic Therapist, registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)

Experience with fixed braces, removable appliances, intra-oral scanning, digital records

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; ability to educate and reassure patients

Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, able to multitask between clinical & administrative duties

Comfortable with photography, digital imaging, record keeping, preparing photos for website and social media (training available and supported). Collect patient testimonials - (training available and supported)

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

:

Past experience in a private orthodontic practice

Familiarity with aligner systems - Invisalign

Experience in treatment coordination or patient finance / payment plan systems

Marketing or social media photography for "before & after" cases

Pay: 28.00-40.00 per hour
