The Role & Key Responsibilities

To achieve this ambition, we are looking for a Youth Justice Co-ordinator to sit within the Out of Court Resolution Hub team.


This is an important role in our team, and we need an enthusiastic individual to provide a customer focused service that responds to policing and crime related investigations by building positive, collaborative relationships with police colleagues and criminal justice partners.


We are looking for a motivated and talented individual, who is able to take responsibility for and proactively track and manage youth cases through the central youth intervention team from initial referral, the decision-making panel and beyond to the decided outcome. This individual will keep spreadsheets updated and produce performance reports from the data recorded. They will also demonstrate high levels of customer service in contacting victims and keeping them updated.

This role is based at Guildford Police Station.


To support the force's commitment to provide an agile and flexible workforce, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly where appropriate.


You will be provided training for the role including our computing systems and databases as well as trauma informed practices and restorative interventions to support your competency in the role.


The Co-ordinator role is key to the successful and smooth operations within Surreys Adult and Youth Out of Court Resolution Hub. You will be the gatekeeper as well as front of house to our team.


Skills & Experience

Educated to a GCSE standard or equivalent or be able to evidence transferable skills demonstrating ability for this role. Demonstrable experience of administrative, prioritisation of workloads and deadlines without the need for close supervision. Demonstrable experience of utilising multiple computer systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and databases with experience of maintaining and collating digital records to a data quality standard. Good interpersonal skills and a customer service approach with demonstrable experience of dealing with enquiries both verbally and electronically. Have the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate when required with both internal and external customers. The ability to adopt a methodical approach, multi-task various tasks and manage a varied workload with time management and prioritisation skills. The ability to work effectively without regular and close supervision (using own initiative) using appropriate digital resources to effectively manage and organise. The ability to demonstrate integrity and discretion and a professional manner towards dealing with sensitive and confidential work. The adaptability to change and cope with new demands and procedures. Has the ability to work under pressure and prioritise when necessary. The ability to work well as a member of a team and make a positive contribution to activities within a team environment. Co-operate with team members and colleagues towards achieving team and organisational objectives.
