Location: Preston, Hesketh Bank | Full-time (39 hours between 17:00pm - 8am, 4 on 4 off)

The Role
As our Out of Hours Co-Ordinator, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service during non-standard working hours. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for managing operations across multiple key accounts, ensuring full compliance with all service level agreements (SLAs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will coordinate with depot teams through regular handover meetings at the start and end of each shift, maintaining a clear flow of information and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities for an Out of Hours Co-Ordinator
Handle and monitor customer bookings, ensuring all requirements and SLAs are met.
Provide timely responses to queries and deliver excellent customer service.
Escalate service issues promptly and communicate updates to relevant teams including handover.
Support and guide drivers, ensuring clear communication and job understanding.
Maintain awareness of fleet compliance, driver availability, and routing efficiency.
Support team coverage during absence and maintain good housekeeping standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
Confidence with IT Systems including Outlook and Excel
Experience in a transport or logistics environment
Understanding of UK/EU driving hours laws and restrictions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent planning and organisational skills
