ABOUT US



Riverside Out of School Care (ROSC) is a voluntary service run by a committee of parents/ carers and a registered charity. We provide up to forty places every session for after school care, breakfast club and holiday club and are based in Riverside Primary School in Stirling. ROSC is registered with the Care Inspectorate which is the regulatory body for childcare in Scotland. ROSC has been providing this much-needed service to the Riverside and surrounding community since 1995. Riverside Out of School Care (ROSC) is one type of registered charity known as a Scottish Charitable incorporated Organisation (SCIO)?currently supporting up to 100 families in our community.

JOB DESCRIPTION



We are seeking a ROSC manager to lead and organise the daily operations of our before and after school provisions, as well as the holiday club. The role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of care and offering creative play opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. With a supportive committee, this position is ideal for someone willing to lead with passion, manage our thriving service and provide a warm, nurturing environment.

Minimum Requirements & Demonstrable Experience



Children and Young People SVQ3, possess a BA in Childhood Practice, or equivalent (or working towards), such as PDA level 9 Childhood Practice or equivalent qualifications and experience, to allow registration with SSSC as a Manager of Day care of children's service Either eligible to be, or registered with SSSC or equivalent professional body Have at least two years' experience managing a childcare service, preferably working with children aged 4 -12 in a group setting Experience of planning and delivering child-centred high quality play opportunities for children in a group setting, as well as understanding of statutory requirements and best practice for childcare Experience of working with children with additional support needs Experience of having led, managed, appraised and developed staff To be approved by the care inspectorate as a fit person to act as a manager of a care service.

Working hours/ location



Monday- Friday 30 hours per week.

ROSC is open during the hours specified below and the manager is expected to delegate their time flexibly across these hours as appropriate dependent on staffing and administrative/ managerial responsibilities.

Term time: breakfast club runs from 8am until 9am and the after-school club session runs until 5.45pm. We are closed for some bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Holiday opening hours are: 8.30am to 5.45pm (Monday to Friday)

You will be responsible for providing and managing the above hours with additional flexible hours for administration.

Salary

33,150- 37,050 pro rata
