Mid Annandale Playcare is a non-profit, purpose-built childcare facility dedicated to providing high-quality care for children. Managed by a team of up to 12 Directors, we are committed to fostering a nurturing environment for families and ensuring that every child receives the support they need.
Summary
We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Before and After School Club Practitioner to join our team. This role involves working split shifts during term time, from 7:30am to 9:30am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm, (with more hours offered during the school holidays) supporting children with a range of engaging activities in a safe, nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, energetic, and passionate about working with school-aged children, helping to create a fun and supportive start and end to their day.
Responsibilities
Walk the children to and from the local school.
Provide high-quality childcare and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
Plan and implement engaging educational activities.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Support children with additional needs by adapting activities and providing appropriate assistance.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive team environment.
Requirements
Experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Relevant qualifications in childcare or education.
