We are term time only, 7.30-9am and 3-6.30pm
The successful candidate will organise engaging activities, supervise children during playtime, and foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood development and experienced in managing children's activities. The Play Worker will play a vital role in promoting positive social interactions and supporting children's developmental needs through creative and structured play.
Responsibilities
Organise and facilitate a variety of play activities suitable for children of different ages, ensuring they are engaging, inclusive, and safe.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play sessions, maintaining a vigilant eye to ensure safety at all times.
Support children's social development by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and respectful behaviour.
Assist with the organisation of special events or themed activities to enrich the children's experience.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes aligned with organisational standards.
Drive organisational initiatives as required, including transporting children when authorised and necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in childcare, nursery, or early childhood education settings.
Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to organise activities efficiently.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to engage children positively through creative play and educational activities.
Childcare qualifications or relevant nursery experience are highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation duties.
