To manage the day-to-day running of the goods-out functions for both UK and Export Customers
Plan for effective and compliant deliveries to the customer base (both internal and external)
Overseeing the successful implementation of the daily and weekly plan
To manage the stock inventory in line with company standards, policies and procedures as well as the relevant Key Performance Indicators.
Perform and/or oversee regular inventory inspections (stock checks), and take any necessary corrective action to avoid recurrence of any issues
To oversee the smooth running of the department, with accurate picking and shipping of all products
To effectively manage the Local Delivery drivers - ensuring that the needs of the customer, and the wider business are met
To effectively manage the nominated courier drivers, and to be actively involved in the selection of such service providers and to monitor and report on their performance as and when required.
To attend all necessary meetings as the leader of the department as directed by the Technical Director
Maintain a safe, healthy and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas and workstations in a tidy manner whilst also maintaining a clean shipping area, complying with all company procedures, rules and regulations
Ensure the accurate completion of company paperwork, including delivery paperwork, and QHSE documentation
To liaise and work cooperatively with the Inbound Logistics Manager to ensure the entire Logistics Department runs in an effective and efficient manner.
