Job Summary



To deliver safe, engaging, and high-quality adventurous activities to a diverse range of visitors, including Scouts, Guides, schools, and youth groups.

Activity Instructors play a key role in promoting teamwork, confidence, and personal development through outdoor education.

Whether you have one qualification or a wide range, we have the role for you.

Activities we have on site:

Air rifles, archery, crossbows, tomahawks and angels

Crate stacking, leap of faith, gauntlet, zip wire

We also have a number of activities which don't require a formal qualification but we offer to groups with an instructor. These include catapults, sensory trail, grass sledging and many others.

Responsibilities



Plan and lead outdoor activities, ensuring safety and enjoyment for participants. Instruct participants on techniques and skills related to various outdoor activities. Assess participant skill levels and adapt activities accordingly. Monitor and manage group dynamics to foster teamwork and cooperation. Maintain equipment and ensure all safety standards are met. Provide feedback and encouragement to participants to enhance their experience.

Pay



In addition to the hourly rate of 12.21, we make a one off payment for set up and take down of the activity, which equates to an additional 30 minutes pay, on top of any hours completed in the same day.

We offer sessions as and when they are booked by customers via our bookings system.

Qualifications



Ideally you will already hold at least one NGB qualification. We do offer opportunities to gain further qualifications for the right candidate.

Some activities do not require NGB qualifications and we can offer site specific permits, so please get in touch if this is something you could assist with.

A first aid qualification would be an advantage.

Important Notice:



All instructors are required to complete a Scouts Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and undergo safety and safeguarding training, amongst other online training.

Number of hours available fluctuates, based on bookings. There are is no guarantee of regular hours. The post is not a live-in role.
