Outdoor Billposting and Maintenance Technician

Permanent position

Bristol based

42.5 hours (Flexible hours Monday to Friday, usually 8am-4.30pm)

27,625 - 30,000 per annum + OT

Use of a company work van

20 days holiday, plus bank holidays

Out of Hand is an established design, print, distribution and outdoor advertising specialist based in Bristol. We work with businesses and organisations of all sizes across the South West and South Wales and have built a good reputation for providing high quality, cost-effective and reliable services catering for the events and leisure sector.

Established in 1994 and independently owned based in Bristol and Edinburgh. Specialising in the arts, culture, entertainment and music industry, we offer multiple services including printing and specialist finishing facilities, extensive flyer, poster and brochure distribution networks targeting the 18-35yr audience, and a growing outdoor advertising network. We work with numerous clients including multiple venue groups, record labels, promoters, agencies and artists across the UK and Europe, alongside some of the biggest festivals in the UK.

We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join our busy team based in Bristol, working across the South West and South Wales.

About the role

Bi-weekly preparation and installation of advertising posters around South Wales, Bristol and surrounding area, and then bi-weekly maintenance where we build sites, paint out tags and make the estate look its best. We also undertake special builds and installations for local businesses and during the summer we work at a number of festivals installing site dressing and advertising.

Working in a small team or solo, depending on the tasks. You will be hard-working, conscientious, reliable, methodical, have attention to detail and be willing to get stuck in making sure our poster sites reflect the company well out on the street and to the clients who advertise on them.

Weekly duties include

Bi-weekly billposting on street level posters and billboard sites

Cyclical painting, repair and general maintenance on all our sites

Build new sites as part of a team

Organise & Roll posters ready for posting week

Recording work and posting on our Proof of Posting system

Other duties as and when required

Who we are looking for

Full driving licence (with a maximum of three points)

Experience driving vans (all sizes)

Happy to work at height on ladders and cherry pickers (Training will be given where necessary)

Have current 'Working at height' and 'IPAF' card preferred but not essential

Happy to work outside in all types of weather, good or bad

Experience of painting, general DIY and working with timber

Experience of wood construction a benefit but not a necessity

Good at working on your own or in a small team

Hard working, conscientious and a 'can do attitude'

Good communication skills

Basic computer skills
