We're looking for a reliable, proactive

Outdoor Maintenance Assistant

to help keep our range, car park, and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and ready for customers each day.

Role Purpose

To maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety across the driving range and outdoor areas. This role ensures the range operates smoothly each morning and that all bays and grounds are ready for customer use.

Key Responsibilities

Ball Collection & Machinery Operation

Collect range balls efficiently using collection machinery when ground conditions allow.

During wet months, collect balls by hand

to protect the turf and equipment. Clean and refill ball dispensers as required. Safely operate and maintain ball collection machinery, range vehicles, and equipment.

Range Setup & Presentation

Prepare all bays each morning before opening -- ensuring mats, tees, and Toptracer screens are clean, working, and neatly presented. Check and restock bays with necessary items (tees, baskets, etc.). Identify and report any equipment faults or maintenance issues.

Grounds & Car Park Maintenance

Keep the driving range, paths, and car park clean, tidy, and litter-free. Carry out basic groundskeeping tasks (sweeping, leaf blowing, light weeding). Empty bins and manage rubbish disposal according to site procedures.

Health & Safety

Follow all site health and safety procedures and risk assessments. Use machinery responsibly and report any hazards immediately. Work safely in all weather conditions and wear appropriate PPE provided.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Physically fit and capable of manual work (including ball collection by hand). Able to work independently and manage time effectively. Attention to detail in maintaining a clean, tidy environment.

Desirable:

Experience using grounds maintenance or range machinery (training provided if needed). Full UK driving licence. Basic mechanical understanding for machinery checks/maintenance.
