Job Title: Outdoor Education Instructor

Location:

Davenham Primary School, CW9 8JW

Hours:

1:00 PM - 3:30 PM, Tuesday one week then Wednesday the next (over 38 weeks)

Pay:

55 - 75 per session (depending on experience)

Additional Hours:

Opportunities for after-school clubs, Forest School sessions in other schools, and holiday camps.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Outdoor Education Instructor to inspire children through hands-on, nature-based learning. You will deliver fun, engaging sessions that get children active outdoors, building confidence, creativity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver exciting outdoor sessions such as nature crafts, shelter building, den making, fire safety, and team games. Encourage children to develop problem-solving, resilience, and social skills through outdoor learning. Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all children, including those with SEND. Adapt sessions to different ages and abilities. Work closely with school staff to support learning outcomes. Ensure all activities meet safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment standards.
About You

Experience working with children in an outdoor, sports, or educational setting. A recognised Forest School qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential. Enthusiastic about outdoor learning, nature, and inspiring young people. Strong communication and organisation skills. Committed to safeguarding and child wellbeing. Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check.
