Main duties of the job
As an Outpatient Pharmacist, you will lead the delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy service at Yeovil District Hospital. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines, providing expert clinical advice to healthcare professionals, and managing the day-to-day operations of the outpatient pharmacy.
You'll supervise and develop pharmacy staff, maintain compliance with governance and GPhC standards, oversee audits and quality improvement initiatives, and support medicines management and service development. Acting as the Responsible Pharmacist, you will ensure timely supply of medicines, manage controlled drugs in line with legislation, and contribute to policy development and financial performance monitoring.
