24,796 pro-rata (13.59 per hour)



13 hours per week (6.5 hours per day across 2 days - some flexibility possible)



Fixed term until 31st March 2026





About the Role



Anfield Children's Centre, in partnership with First Steps Enterprise, is seeking an

Outreach & Activities Worker

.

This role is focused on

outreach

in the Anfield area - engaging families, increasing access to early years provision, and encouraging use of Children's Centre services.

You'll also support with

family activities

within the centre, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and parents.

It's a rewarding opportunity to directly support families and improve outcomes for children's development, school readiness, and wellbeing.



Key Responsibilities



Carry out

outreach

in the community (door knocking, events, home visits). Engage and register families for Children's Centre services. Support parents with accessing early years/nursery provision and form-filling. Provide advice and signposting to childcare, health, and family support services. Follow up with families via calls, texts, letters, or visits to encourage continued engagement. Promote services by distributing publicity and attending local venues/events. Assist with

delivery of centre-based activities

for children and families. Maintain accurate records of outreach and attendance. Work collaboratively with the Centre team to ensure a welcoming, supportive environment.

About You



NVQ Level 2 or above in Early Years, Health & Social Care, Community Work, or similar. Experience in outreach or community engagement (ideally in areas of disadvantage). Experience supporting or delivering activities with families and children. Good knowledge of the Anfield community. Strong communication and people skills - able to build trust with families. Organised, with good record-keeping and IT/data entry skills. Empathetic, approachable, and motivated to support families. Flexible, able to work independently and as part of a team. Enhanced DBS required as a part of the role.
