Overview

We are seeking a compassionate , experienced and dedicated Nurse / Healthcare Assistant to join our family. In this role, you will provide essential support to our disabled daughter, ensuring she is comfortable & monitored throughout the night (from 9pm-7am).

Responsibilities

Assisting our daughter with medication, peg feeds, suctioning, personal hygiene, dressing, and aiding her to get a good nights sleep. Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to parents. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the family home ensuring a safe environment. Adhering to all safety protocols. Participate in care planning and contribute to the overall health management of our daughter and our life.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential; individual training will be given for our daughter. A solid understanding of brain injury, cerebral palsy, dystonia, peg feeding, & respiratory nursing and practices is advantageous. Experience of working alongside non-verbal disabled children is highly beneficial. Knowledge of basic anatomy is critical for effective communication with medical staff and understanding patient needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with our daughter, families, and colleagues. A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 50 per week
