Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Owner Driver with their own car or van to support a busy gardening and landscaping business. The primary responsibility is to transport the gardener/owner from customer to customer, job to job, and assist with light logistical duties as needed. This role is ideal for someone who is punctual, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Transport the gardener/owner safely and efficiently between scheduled jobs throughout the day. Plan and follow optimal routes to ensure timely arrival at customer sites. Maintain your vehicle to a clean, safe, and roadworthy standard. Load and unload gardening tools, materials, and small equipment when required. Assist with moving equipment between the vehicle and work areas. Keep track of daily schedules and ensure smooth transitions between appointments. Provide polite and professional interaction with customers when present on-site. Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and report any vehicle-related issues. Occasionally run errands, collect materials, or pick up supplies for the business when needed.

Requirements

Must own a

reliable car or van

suitable for transporting equipment when needed. Full, clean UK driving licence (or local equivalent). Strong time-management and navigation skills. Good physical fitness for occasional lifting of tools or equipment. Excellent communication and professionalism with customers. Ability to work independently and adapt to a changing schedule.

Preferred Attributes

Knowledge of local areas, traffic patterns, and efficient routes. Interest in gardening or landscaping (not essential but beneficial). Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to help where needed. Committed

Working Hours

Typically Monday-Friday, with start/finish times based on the gardening schedule. Occasional weekend work available if wanted

Compensation

Self-employed/ cash in hand Pay based on daily rate, hourly rate (to be discussed).
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
