Our client is an employee-owned civil engineering and construction management consultancy, involved in the successful delivery of major complex infrastructure projects.
They support Clients, consultants and contractors on all stages of project life cycles, who operate in most market sectors including railways, metros, road, water and power. We are looking to recruit a P6 construction planner with a civil engineering or construction background to work on multi-disciplinary railway projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Planner with upto 5 years experience to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring that all construction activities are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities & duties:
Develop and maintain various construction programmes including sub-elements such as structures and earthworks, working with the senior construction planners.
Use Primavera P6 software to build programmes and deal with alterations.
Use a disciplined approach to produce comprehensive and professional programmes, including records of construction planning, production rates and programme assumptions.
Manage programme alterations and updates on a range of civil and / or engineering schemes.
Report the progress of programme development to the LBA commission manager, including highlighting any areas of concern or planning issues and proposing mitigation measures.
Update the construction programme following Change Control procedure.
Co-ordinate input from all disciplines, e.g. design, geotechnical, environmental, utilities etc, into the programme.
Respond to programme enquiries from the client and from other engineering and environmental disciplines.
Support the successful delivery of logically linked programmes that comply with planning standards and client requirements.
Continuously monitor programmes to ensure they are updated to accurately reflect progress and reflect any revised forecast of the works.
Contribute to the basis of construction programme reports which support the construction programmes and other technical reports as required.
Experience
Proven experience in construction planning or a related field is essential.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required; experience with Civil 3D is highly desirable.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
