JaNailah Ltd provides residential care. to young people coming through the care system and those facing disadvantages in the community. Our second company Essence Of Ilia, promotes the Director's clothing line, books and other written materials, and facilitates workshops and public speaking engagements.
Our charity, Shai Foundation supports children and their families adversely impacted through poverty and abuse in the UK and globally. The charity aims to uplift the lives of those less privileged in communities; actively helping through social initiatives and donations.
Role and Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the organisations work, including PR and events. The role of Assistant will be a varied.
You will be a self-starter, willing to 'lone' work where required. Your primary function will be to support the Director with all business activities, ensuring her work/life runs smoothly and efficiently. To do this the individual will work closely with the Director to anticipate needs and changes of priority. This is an opportunity for an individual who can work on their own initiative and is a fast learner.
Key responsibilities
To undertake all administrative task as required
To liaise with partners and donors as required
Arrange/manage appointments, meetings and speaking engagements
Participate in events, both on a small and larger scale
Communicate with the media, assisting with PR and the image of the company/charity as appropriate
Develop and manage social media profiles and promo activities
Assist the Director in all aspect of her work as directed
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Educated to a good standard
Previous administration experience essential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong IT skills ( MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Be highly organised
Experience of using social media as a marketing tool
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
Previous experience with minute taking
?Proficient with Microsoft packages
?Working in a flexible working environment
?Able to travel if required
Ability to lone work
