We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive individual who is customer focused and committed to delivering effective services in a busy environment.



Specifically, we are looking to appoint a full-time member of staff on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will be part of the PACE Supplier team who are responsible for administering the Suppliers Address Book function within the Council's Finance IT system (Centros) to enable purchase orders to be raised to pay our Suppliers.



The ability for the Council to pay our suppliers quickly and accurately is a business-critical requirement and this role is essential in supporting this.



The successful applicant will be required to operate in a busy environment, where numerous daily requests must be prioritised and processed with accuracy and attention to detail. This includes administering verification checks as part of fraud prevention measures. The ability to follow processes and ensure due diligence is followed is essential to this role.



The person appointed will be required to spend time on the phone every day representing the Council, as well as corresponding verbally and in writing to our suppliers and customers. Strong verbal/written communication skills are therefore essential. This varied role requires a keen commitment to teamwork, exceptional communication and customer care skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders





The applicants must also have strong IT skills and be able to confidently use Microsoft's suite of Office applications (Word; Excel; Outlook etc). Experience of data entry work is also desirable.

At present, we are adopting hybrid working with a combination of time working from home and some in the office (Howden House) Appropriate IT equipment and training will be provided to the successful applicant.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
