40-45 hours/week (4 days on, 4 days off)

Role Overview



As the

Packing Line Team Leader

, you'll be responsible for managing the packing team during shifts, ensuring that meals are packed safely, accurately, and efficiently. You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards, supporting staff, and meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities



Team Leadership & Supervision



Lead the packing team to meet daily production targets. Assign tasks based on team strengths and the production plan. Provide hands-on support, direction, and training throughout the shift.

Food Safety & Hygiene



Enforce all food safety protocols, including proper sanitation, temperature checks, and cross-contamination prevention. Ensure clean and compliant workstations. Monitor, document, and escalate any food safety issues.

Quality Control



Check that all meals meet packing standards (weights, ingredients, labels, layout). Conduct regular spot checks for consistency and accuracy. Identify and resolve packing errors swiftly.

Cross-Team Coordination



Communicate effectively with Cooking and Inventory teams to align packing with production timelines and ingredient availability. Adapt workflows in real-time to respond to issues such as shortages or delays.

Inventory Monitoring



Track use of packing supplies and notify relevant teams when stock is low. Ensure all materials are food-safe and follow FIFO procedures.

Training & Performance Management



Train new staff on procedures, equipment, and safety standards. Provide coaching and feedback to support staff performance and development.

Reporting & Documentation



Monitor team performance and output, aiming to meet or exceed packing targets. Set and track hourly targets, identifying and addressing slowdowns as needed.

Machinery Operation



Set up and check all packing equipment (scales, sealers, labelers) before each shift. Report equipment issues to the Production Manager or Maintenance Team.

MAP Machine Oversight



Operate and maintain the MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) machine. Keep accurate maintenance logs and ensure the machine functions efficiently and safely.

What We're Looking For



Minimum 1 year of experience in a cook/production kitchen or food manufacturing role. Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and team-focused mindset.
