Cole's Puddings was originally established by Albert Cole in Essex in 1939, becoming part of the Wilkin & Sons Ltd family of businesses in 2010, based in Great Chesterford near Saffron Walden. Our business concentrates on the production of high quality puddings using the finest ingredients and employing traditional methods of manufacture to produce truly Great British puddings.
We are looking for someone to join our Technical and Operations team on a permanent basis as a Packing Operative, this role is integral to ensuring our products are produced and packaged in accordance with our impeccable standards and reach the customer in the best possible condition. Working as part of a team as well as on your own, you will be required to work to a standard specification whilst maintaining food hygiene standards, keeping the line tidy and clean and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly.
We would love to hear from you if you are of good character, have good standards of literacy/numeracy, high capability and a willingness to learn. You should also have food handling or manufacturing experience however, no formal qualifications are necessary; full training and relevant support will be given to ensure you are able to bring your best to the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:
Ensure products are made to the highest possible quality by checking and weighing the ingredients and mixing to the correct specification
Maintaining traditional methods ensure products are cooked and cooled to correct standard
Ensure packaging is completed to set specification
Keeping line clean as defined on schedule to the correct standard
Completion of paperwork showing all the correct checks have been completed and verified, ensuring batch traceability is maintained at all times
Ensure all Health and Safety rules and regulations are followed
Any other duties the packaging supervisor deems necessary
