Role Description:

Reporting to the production supervisor, the team leader is responsible for the accurate packing of products on all lines. With knowledge of the machines and the products the team leader is responsible for following the Extons Quality manual and adhering 100% to the company procedures and specifications.



The team leader leads their team through training, coaching and mentoring leading by example and demonstrating positive and proactive behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

Be competent and have a safe working knowledge of packing room machinery and equipment. Take responsibility for monitoring packing room operatives to ensure good working efficiencies and productivity. Work with a flexible approach to daily production information and customer and company requirements. Supervise the efficient completion of work to correct specifications. Work with people from all departments in the business. Delegate tasks to appropriate operatives. Knowledge of and adherence to appropriate health and safety and food hygiene regulations maintaining due diligence at all times. To maintain company standards. Attend and contribute to production meetings and red zone huddles. Effectively communicate new company requirements and procedures to the operatives. Offer constructive suggestions for the improvement of the company. Work with a flexible approach to daily receipt and dispatch information and customer and company requirements.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate must have: Experience leading a team or be able to demonstrate leadership skills. Food processing experience Be prepared to undergo extra training online in the classroom and on the job to improve knowledge and understanding. Food safety and health and safety level 2 qualified. A positive outlook and the drive to achieve. A "can do" attitude. Treat people with respect and communicate in a way that includes everyone. Behave in a professional manner and be approachable. Understand and adhere to Exton's people's policies.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday Nights 10pm - 6am. Site based.
