About the job:



We're looking for a motivated

Packing Senior Operator

to join our team in Dunstable. Working closely with the Packing Supervisor, you'll help manage the planning, coordination and control of resources within the Packing Department to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality packing of our coffee products.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee a small team of Operators, maintain excellent GMP standards, ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities:



Support the Packing Supervisor in managing daily packing operations and production planning. Lead, motivate and develop a team of Packing Operators to meet production targets. Ensure food safety and health & safety checks are completed in full and on time. Maintain compliance with BRC, GMP and customer audit standards. Monitor and record data accurately, ensuring timely communication to other departments. Support process improvement initiatives and drive efficiency across the department. Control costs, yields and giveaway within the Packing Department. Deputise for the Packing Supervisor when required, including opening, closing and plant start-up/shutdown.

Right Candidate:



You'll be a proactive and organised team leader with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes in a food or beverage environment. You'll enjoy taking responsibility and helping your team deliver high-quality work every shift.

Essential:



Experience in a food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment. Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills. Computer literate and confident with production systems. Knowledge of health & safety and food safety requirements.

Desirable:



Experience of BRC and customer audit requirements. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP software. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience with stock control systems.
