Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paediatric complex Care Assistant (Must be a driver) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and team members are crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Must be a driver - any license. Paediatric and Nasogastric feeding experience required. Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and daily living activities to promote independence. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Ensure a clean and safe environment by following health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and documentation. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients and their families. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for this role. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
