Junior Sister/Charge Nurse (Paediatric Emergency Department)

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our friendly, dynamic, and supportive team within the Paediatric Emergency Department at Frimley Park Hospital .
In this permanent, part-time role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality care by leading and supporting a team of nurses. Working under the guidance of the Senior Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, you will take responsibility for coordinating and overseeing shifts in their absence, ensuring safe, effective, and family-centred care is maintained at all times.

To support the ED Sister/Charge Nurse in leading the nursing team, ensuring that high standards are met and maintained for all children and their families
To support the ED Sister/Charge Nurse ensuring the departments ethos reflects the Trust values, and assist with the delivery of patient safety, a good patient experience and the effective running of the department
To act as a skilled practitioner and senior nurse within the Emergency Department to ensure that the highest quality of care is given to patients
Ensuring that all clinical practice is evidence based, in accordance with local and national standards for good practice
To assist in the clinical management of the Emergency Department by ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources, and providing clinical leadership, supervision and support to the team
In conjunction with the Clinical Matrons / Team Leaders and other Sisters / Charge Nurses facilitate the development of the service and personal development of all nursing staff within the clinical area of responsibility
To take the lead on projects as appropriate
