Role Overview
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and competent
Paediatric Nurse
to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our consultants and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venepuncture and cannulation procedures safely and confidently on children of all ages.
Take accurate anthropometric measurements, including weight, height/length, and head circumference, for patients aged 0-18 years, following paediatric protocols
Prepare patients and their families for procedures with sensitivity and reassurance.
Assist consultants with clinical tasks and procedures.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly, including electronic health records.
Participate in routine health checks, triage assessments, and immunisations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly clinical environment.
Adhere to infection prevention and control policies.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and clinical supervision.
Uphold the values and high standards of Mayfair Children's Clinic at all times.
Requirements
Essential:
NMC registration (RN - Adult or Children)
Certified and experienced in
phlebotomy
and
cannulation
Paediatric Intermediate Life Support (PILS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for working with children and families
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Previous experience in a paediatric or private clinic setting
Desirable:
Additional training in safeguarding, vaccination and infection control
Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS)
