As a Paediatric Nurse for our Complex Care Clients, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised support to individuals with complex care needs in the comfort of their own home or within the community. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with their daily lives, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being whether this be in their home or supporting clients at school or in other day-to-day life activities. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.
We are seeking to hire a Male nurse for this role.
Duties
Support clients with medication administration and dealing with their complex needs such as diabetes, epilepsy, tracheostomy and PEG feeding
Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring that all requirements are met
Support clients in maintaining their daily routines, helping with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
Assist clients with personal care tasks
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote emotional well-being.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment at all times.
Skills
MUST HAVE: Valid NMC Pin
MUST HAVE: Minimum 1 year prior experience in complex care including: Nutritional Support(PEG), Seizure management, Respiratory Care (Ventilation, Cough Assist), Postural Management, Tissue Viability, Tracheostomy management Bowel Care/management, Oral Suctioning
Proficient in developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes and communication within the team.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs.
