You should have experience working with children with disabilities or experience of a wider range of neurological conditions would be desirable. However, we may be able to offer this post as a Band 5-6 Development post where all the essential criteria are not met,in which case we would expect that Band 5 competencies would be developed within 12 months.
You will provide clinical assessment and for CYP aged 0-19 years with a range of presentations. We are a part of a wider Children's Therapy team consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Dietitians. The team works cross site, with one base at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby and another at our Community base in Scunthorpe.
Main duties of the job

• To be responsible for the assessment and therapeutic management of children with a range of Physiotherapy needs across both sites. To take responsibility for your own caseload of children 0-19 years including, muscular skeletal, neurological, orthopaedic and rheumatology within a variety of settings.

• Responsible for managing own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.

• Supervise, educate and assess physiotherapy students, assistants and other less experienced registered staff and provide specialized advice to other health care professionals in the specific clinical area.

• The applicant will need to have access to transport and the ability to safely transport yourself and equipment (i.e standers) around the required geographical area during the course of their working day."
